Lovers of Money

Following The Parable of the Dishonest Manager, Luke tells us that the Pharisees, who were "lovers of money," ridiculed Jesus. They did not care for His teaching on wealth. However, sometimes the things we don't like to hear are the very things we need to hear. Jesus continues this theme in the verses that follow the parable.
