Our Purpose

The Church at Eastern Oaks is a diverse and loving community of believers whose sole desire is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through our obedience to Him, and service to the World.
We believe the Mission of the Church is the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20, and
can be summed up by our Eastern Oaks Mission statement which states that the purpose of the
Church is:

“To bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the Church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify and glorify God’s name.”

It is the Vision of Eastern Oaks to work toward this end, so that…

“Eastern Oaks will be a Spirit-led and diverse family of believers, numbering in the hundreds, dedicated to the infallible Word of God, needs-based outreach, small-group discipleship, unity, and service to all through the practice of our spiritual gifts.”

Here at Eastern Oaks we truly believe the family of God includes every person who has accepted
Jesus Christ as their Savior, regardless of age, gender, race, or ethnicity. We welcome all people
into our local church family, as we hope to always reflect the picture of the Church found in Revelation 7:9-10 where we read...

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belong to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'”
